Project Description

Leian Lee

Leian is both a highly skilled Physio and a practising Pilates instructor

Being both a Physiotherapist and a Pilates Instructor gives me an edge to the more traditional core stability training. I believe the clinicians ‘Physio mind’ is never switched off and with the inevitable ‘hands-on’ approach will lead to an effective and individualised treatment plan.

I have a passion for my work and sport.  I trained for and completed the London Marathon in 2015 as a ‘non-professional’ runner while juggling a busy home life with two young children and two dogs.

I equally have a ‘Passion for Posture’ alongside a 4th Degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate…which may encourage you to be similarly motivated!

I completed my first degree, a BSc in Physiology with a 2:1 in 1998. I then went on to qualify as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001 with a First Class Honours BSc degree from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle.

I started my career in the NHS and soon after moved into working at Private Physiotherapy practices throughout the North-East of England.  This cemented and continued my keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.  In my hometown of Sunderland and later in Newcastle I gained experience working in both semi and professional sporting environments including Ladies Football and Rugby.

I relocated to Northampton in 2006 with my husband and took up a Senior Physiotherapists role at Northampton General Hospital. I joined the long established Witty, Pask and Buckingham Physiotherapy Practice full time alongside Mark in 2010.  My caseload is varied and I enjoy helping injured athletes and sportspeople of varying abilities to return to their pre injury level of ability.

In 2010 I studied with The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute to become a qualified Pilates Instructor.  I run regular classes and 1:1 sessions from within Witty, Pask and Buckingham and also within my own private practice in the community.
